Getting Started

Set up your dedicated Mailat server in minutes

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • An AWS account with SES access (not in sandbox mode)
  • A valid email address for your Mailat account
  • A domain you control (for email domains)
  • Access to your domain's DNS settings

Setup Steps

Choose Your Plan

Visit our pricing page and select the plan that fits your needs:

- Regular ($10/mo): Perfect for small businesses with up to 5 email domains - Dedicated ($19/mo): For growing teams with up to 20 email domains - Enterprise ($50/mo): Unlimited domains with custom domain support

Complete Payment

After selecting your plan, you'll be redirected to Gumroad to complete your payment. You can pay with:

- Credit/Debit card - PayPal

Your subscription will be activated immediately after payment.

Access Your Dashboard

After payment, you'll receive an email with a magic link to access your dashboard. Click the link to:

1. Create your account (using the email from your purchase) 2. Access your Mailat dashboard 3. Start server setup

Note: Magic links expire after 15 minutes. Request a new one from the login page if needed.

Configure AWS Credentials

Connect your AWS account to enable email sending:

1. Log in to your AWS Console 2. Navigate to IAM > Users 3. Create a new user with SES permissions 4. Generate Access Key and Secret Key 5. Enter credentials in your Mailat dashboard

Server Provisioning

Once AWS credentials are verified, your server will be automatically provisioned:

- Regular/Dedicated: ~2-3 minutes - Enterprise (custom domain): ~5-10 minutes

You'll receive an email when your server is ready.

Configure Email Domains

Add your email domains in your Mailat instance:

1. Access your Mailat server at your assigned URL 2. Go to Settings > Email Domains 3. Add your domain (e.g., yourdomain.com) 4. Configure DNS records as shown

Managing Your Account

Account Access

Mailat uses passwordless authentication via magic links. To log in:

  1. Go to the login page
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Check your inbox for the magic link
  4. Click the link to access your dashboard

Magic links expire after 15 minutes. If your link has expired, simply request a new one.

Subscription Management

Manage your subscription from the Billing page in your dashboard:

  • View current plan and billing cycle
  • Upgrade to a higher plan anytime
  • Manage payment methods via Gumroad

Billing & Payments

Billing is handled through Gumroad with these options:

  • Monthly billing (pay every month)
  • Quarterly billing (pay every 3 months)

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Your server will remain active until the end of your current billing period.
